Free reading and study resources

The online reader is a free ministry and gift to readers around the world. No purchase or account is required. Published paraphrase and in-depth study-guide editions with translation and theology notes are sold separately in print and electronic formats. Availability and prices are set by the linked retailers.

Authorship and rights

© 2026 James Childers and Bravo Zulu Media. Original TWMC paraphrases, introductions, study notes, and artwork remain protected where applicable. Free access does not place them in the public domain. Existing permissions remain available in our permissions notice. The KJV and Greek source texts have their own source and rights status; no ownership of those underlying texts is claimed here. See Sources, Attribution & Authorship for details.

Editorial purpose

TWMC is a paraphrase and study aid. Scripture is the final authority. Compare the displayed source and comparison texts, consider context, and distinguish paraphrase and interpretation from the underlying wording. Romanized Greek is transliteration, not a separate translation. Material identified as a draft remains subject to editorial review.

Responsible use and availability

Please use the reader lawfully, respect applicable rights, and do not interfere with the service or misrepresent the source or authorship of its material. We work to improve accuracy and accessibility, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every editorial detail is free from error. Nothing on this page limits rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party services

Links to retailers and YouTube are provided for convenience. Purchases, delivery, returns, accounts, and payments are handled by those services under their terms. Their inclusion does not make them the publisher of this website or imply that they endorse its interpretation.

Privacy and updates

Read our Privacy & Cookie Policy for information about hosting, optional analytics, and your choices. We may update these pages as the ministry and website develop; the effective date identifies the current version.

King James Version — Crown rights and the King’s Printer

The Authorized (King James) Version is in the public domain in the United States. In the United Kingdom, publication rights in the Authorized Version belong to the Crown. Cambridge University Press, the King’s Printer and a Crown patentee, administers permissions for its use.

The KJV comparison text on this website is the standardized 1769 text from eBible.org, edition eng-kjv2006, supplied courtesy of the CrossWire Bible Society and eBible.org. James Childers and Bravo Zulu Media claim no ownership of the underlying KJV text.

This acknowledgment does not grant permission for uses subject to UK Crown rights and does not represent a claim that Cambridge has licensed or endorsed TWMC. A rights acknowledgment is not a substitute for any permission required for publication or distribution. Consult the relevant rights administrator for uses subject to those rights.

Spanish comparison text and Greek study resources

The Spanish reader uses Reina-Valera 1909, identified as public domain by its provider eBible.org, in place of the English KJV comparison. Its historical wording is preserved, with numbering differences explicitly explained. English and Kiswahili readers retain their existing comparison texts.

Reina-Valera 1909 source and rights information

The Greek word-study feature uses Maurice A. Robinson’s public-domain BYZPRSD parsing and John Jeffrey Dodson’s public-domain Greek–English lexicon (repository license CC0 1.0). These resources are aligned to our designated 2026 Greek text. Attribution, versions, coverage and limitations are recorded on the feature page.
